What makes or breaks marketing leaders? The ability to lead the growth agenda.
I recently joined Vinnie Romano’s Growth Colony podcast to talk marketing leadership. Three insights we’ve covered:
1. AI can’t lead change—you can. AI is a powerful tool for efficiency, analysis, and perhaps creativity, but leadership? That’s human. Building trust, influencing the C-suite, and driving customer-focused strategies still come down to you.
2. Trust comes from impact. To earn a seat at the table, you need to speak the CEO’s language: results, not jargon. Show how marketing contributes to business outcomes.
3. Courage is non-negotiable. Leading change means pushing boundaries. Resistance will come—but bold, smart actions get noticed.
